About mild acne

The black heads are often called open comedones. The black heads come from the result of clogging the skin pores with sebum and dead skin cells. Mistakenly many people assume that the black heads are filled with dirt and trying to squeeze them. The black heads are type of acne and must be treated as acne with natural topical medications (creams and ointments).

The white heads are also closed comedones. This acne type is the opposite to black heads. If the black heads are caused by clogged skin pores, the white heads are caused by excessive release of sebum. The early beginning of the white heads treatment is very essential. As any other acne type, the white heads must be treated with natural ingredients as the antibiotics and chemicals can only be used as a preventative measure for very short period of time ( 1 - 2 weeks ).

Cysts, nodes are another and the most painful type of acne. Cysts and nodes are not only very painful but also the most difficult to treat. This acne type usually have semi-circular formation and painful red-violet color. It is deep (not less than 5 mm) in the skin and filled with the contents of pus and sebum. Left without effective treatment, cysts and nodes leave behind scars. As a temporary use of strong antibiotics or even ointments with corticosteroids maybe necessary to decrease the skin inflammation. The use of antibiotics and steroids in treatment of this acne type can only last not longer than 2 - 3 weeks.
